Tough-minded competitor who should provide a boost to the foil squad ... was walk-on defensive back with University of Kansas football team in 2006 before transferring to Notre Dame, where he is reunited with his Kanza Fencing Center club coach (ND assistant Gia Kvaratskhelia) ... could be key situational bouter throughout 2008 team events ... a very sound technical fencer who rises to the challenge in big matches.
