AS A FRESHMAN: Ran in one cross country meet for the Irish ... took 26th overall at the National Catholic Championship, covering the Notre Dame home course in 26:09 ... did not compete during the indoor track season ... had a successful outdoor campaign, highlighted by BIG EAST-caliber performances in both the 5,000 and 10,000 meters ... best effort in the 5,000 meters came at the Hillsdale Gina Relays where he ran 14:55.88 ... saw his first action in BIG EAST competition at the outdoor league meet, running the 10,000 meters in 32:36.53 for 15th place. HIGH SCHOOL AND PERSONAL: Attended same high school (Benet Academy) as current Irish teammate Mike Schubert ... enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters where he is studying theology ... garnered Dean's List status in his first semester at Notre Dame, posting a 3.8 semester grade-point average.
