Women's Soccer Celebrates The 2004 National Championship

Dec. 6, 2004

The Irish players run to greet goalkeeper Erika Bohn, who made the game-winning save (her third penalty kick save of the game) to earn Notre Dame the National Championship.

The players mob Bohn and begin to celebrate the program's second National Championship.

The 2004 Fighting Irish let the country know just who was #1.

Katie Thorlakson and Randy Waldrum share a moment after the game, before being interviewed on the field by ESPN2.

Waldrum, a 23-year coaching veteran, earned his first national title with Notre Dame's victory.

Katie Thorlakson was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Offensive Player.

The Irish players, along with Randy Waldrum, sit through their most enjoyable press conference of the year - after winning the National Championship.

Waldrum and Thorlakson answer questions from the media about the 1-1 (4-3) victory.

The Irish players answer more questions from the media. Notre Dame became only the second women's team (North Carolina) to win multiple NCAA soccer championships.
